Good news Windows Phone users. Getting a cab through your smartphone has just been made simpler due to the relaunch of Uber app on the Windows Phone Store. The app had first been launched on the store back in March last year and had been pulled subsequently a month later due to all the negative press it received from the users. The second attempt at the app is somewhat better, but leaves a lot to be desired when you compare it to its Android and iOS counterparts. Here’s what the app has to offer:
- Request a ride using the app and get picked up within minutes. On-demand service means no reservations required and no waiting in taxi lines.
- Compare rates for different vehicles. Add a credit card to your secure account so you never need cash on hand.
- Easily set your pickup location on the map, even if you don’t know the exact address. Get connected to your personal driver and check the progress of your Uber at any time.
- Sit back, relax, and go anywhere you want. We’ll email you a receipt when you arrive at your destination.
Unfortunately, some features like fare quotes and shareable links are still missing from the app. The good news is that Uber plans to add these features in the future updates. Here’s what the company promises to bring to the app eventually.
