With competitors borrowing a lot from Snapchat, the company is doing all it can to stay ahead in the race. Now, Snapchat has added a new feature to the app called Geofilters. The new filter setting adds text filters corresponding to your location. You can only use ones that are available in your location. These filters don’t just cover an entire city but also change depending on the neighborhood you’re in. After clicking a photo, simply slide to the right and you’ll have a bunch of filters available for that particular location.
For now, Geofilters are available only in New York and Los Angeles, but we expect more cities to be covered in the coming days. Also we might see crowd sourced filters sooner or later due to the rather huge presence of the app across the globe.
