Nokia MixRadio gets UI improvements and new features in the latest update

Nokia MixRadio (formerly known as as Nokia Music) is a nice to have app on Windows Phone. Today, the app has received an update that brings some UI changes along with improvements to offline mixes and bug fixes. Here’s the changelog to version 4.3.0.287:

  • Improvements to offline mixes: time remaining before expiry is shown, mixes become playable before they have completely downloaded, mixes remain playable while being refreshed.
  • Navigate Home from any page in the app.
  • Navigate to the Player from any page in the app.
  • Bug fixes and performance improvements.

The new UI improvements include a new button on the top left that takes you back to the main screen of the app. There’s also a new timer  in the upper right that shows the duration of the song played. The offline mixes now show the time remaining before expiry. Mixes can now also be played while being downloaded.

You can get the Nokia MixRadio for free from the Windows Phone Store here. It’s one solid alternative to Xbox Music.
