Recently, Nokia released HERE Maps for Android in beta. Now, the app has been updated with all round improvements and support for Android 5.0 Lollipop. Of course, there aren’t many devices with the latest version of Android right now, but that should easily change in the future. The update also fixes the issue where downloaded voice files for turn-by-turn navigation in other languages were getting deleted upon using cache cleaner. Then, there are several under the hood changes and bug fixes that are a part of the update.
According to Nokia’s blog, the app has seen a warm response with over 1 million downloads with a high rating in the Galaxy App Store. Nokia plans to release the update on the same in the coming days, but you can always visit their blog and download the apk on your phone manually now. The app is expected to hit the Play Store in the coming weeks.
