Shortly after being released, the Flipboard team has published the first update for its Windows Phone app. The update takes the app to version 2.4.1.0 and brings a couple of new features.
Changelog:
- Share web links from other apps into your Flipboard magazines.
- Display a refresh option when new stories are available in the section you’re reading.
- Fixes issue where magazines do not show new flipped stories.
- More bug fixes and performance improvements.
The update still doesn’t add support for devices with 512MB RAM (we hope it gets sorted soon), however, it now allows to share web links from other apps into your Flipboard magazine. Also, there’s a new refresh option available in the section so that new stories in that section can show up. Then, the app also gets some performance fixes.
It’s good to see Flipboard app being supported by the developers and being updated in lesser time than it took for developers to release the app after announcement.
