Google+ for Android updated with Material Design

Google has pushed an update for Google+ on Android. The update takes Google+ on Android to version 4.6, adding elements of Material Design to the app, more of which we’re likely to see in the coming days as Google prepares for the launch of Android L.

The app gets a new launcher icon that shows the presence of material design all over it with its long shadow and new dimensions. Inside the app, you’ll find the reds of Google+ to have been toned down a little, along with colors from several icons being removed. The Google Photos app which is interlinked with Google+ has also been made a part of revamp and shows signs of material design here and there.
